Your Posture, Their Posture

The muscle test is important, BUT SO IS YOUR POSTURE.

YOUR STRONG FOUNDATIONS

When I was first introduced to muscle testing back in 1998, I was absolutely blown away, because it didn’t make sense to me!! I asked the instructor what the neurological pathways to allow this muscle to work, and he did not have a solid response. So I walked away from it. Months later, I was introduced to it again, and at the time, it didn’t matter what the explanation was, all I cared about was results and feeling better. The doctor helped me feel better as a patient in pain. And so, it began. The journey to master muscle testing, studying from multiple instructors pressed on. Of course along the way, there’s plenty of neurological explanations for how this stuff works, which is really cool. What I want to share with you here, is

“How to Muscle Test with YOUR BEST POSTURE IN MIND.”

There are several different ways instructors teach the muscle tests, but in this series, I will demonstrate “how I perform them and why” in my office.

“It doesn’t necessarily matter who’s teaching you how to muscle test, as long as YOUR BIOMECHANICS are sound FOR YOU. “

I believe at the end of the day, which excites me the most about muscle testing, is the ability to break down larger muscles into smaller groups for a refined interpretation of what may be happening with a patient’s body.

For example, we’ll be covering how to break down the Gluteus Maximums into 3 divisions, the Gluteus Medius into 3 divisions, the Gluteus Minimus into 2 divisions, the Tensor Fascia Latae into 2 divisions, etc. Why is this important??? Because if I’m looking for a specific challenge in the pelvic area, by learning the specific divisions of these muscles, via muscle testing, you’ll have a higher probability of narrowing down which muscle is dysfunctional. Then, you’ll be able to apply your knowledge to help correct the muscles that are not firing correctly. Remember, if you can’t find the problem, it’s a bit more challenging to correct it!!

Knowing the Muscle Test in your mind is IMPORTANT

Knowing How to test the Muscle in real life is IMPORTANT-ER

Knowing YOUR POSTURE applying the Muscle Test is, in my opinion, ”IMPORTANT-EST”
